Appointments & General Inquiries
Physicians at IC Clinic, led by specialists certified by the Japanese Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, provide surgical treatments covered by insurance—such as epidermoid cysts (atheroma) and lipomas—as well as cosmetic medical procedures.
If the patient is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must either accompany them during the procedure or provide a signed and sealed consent form. This requirement does not apply for consultations or examinations only. If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany the patient, please complete the consent form below and bring it with you.
Treatment is generally covered by health insurance, so please feel free to consult us.

Generally, the bandage may be removed once the wound has closed and there is no significant bleeding — typically around 1 to 2 weeks. However, as individual results may vary, please consult your doctor at your appointment.
Depending on the medication you are taking, surgery may not be possible without a temporary discontinuation of that medication. The required discontinuation period varies by medication, and you will need to check with the medical institution that prescribed it whether discontinuation is appropriate in your case.
Sutures are typically removed around two weeks after the procedure. The timing may vary depending on your treatment plan, and your attending physician will advise you on the recommended schedule at the time of surgery. Regarding discomfort during suture removal, IC Clinic uses fine sutures with the aim of minimizing discomfort.
About Epidermoid Cysts (Atheroma)
If the physician determines there are no issues based on the patient's condition, same-day surgery may be possible.
Based on a physician's assessment, prompt treatment may be necessary in cases of inflammation or other complications, so please contact us as soon as possible.
Gently wash the area without disinfecting it, and cover with gauze or similar material. There is no need to press on it too hard.
While outcomes vary depending on the physician's assessment and post-treatment condition, we strive to recommend approaches that are both aesthetically discreet and medically sound.
After surgery, the wound will be covered with a transparent surgical film, gauze, or a bandage. While individual results vary depending on the physician's assessment and post-operative condition, we strive to recommend approaches that are both aesthetically discreet and medically sound. As a general rule, makeup may be applied on the face from the same day, provided the wound area is avoided. Please note that this too may vary depending on your post-operative condition.
The cost under insurance coverage (30% co-payment) is generally around ¥10,000–¥15,000 in total, including consultation, tests, surgery, and histopathological examination. (Costs may vary depending on factors such as whether the area is exposed or non-exposed, the size, and the location of the lesion. Consultation fees, prescription fees, and laboratory costs are charged separately.)
As a general reference, the typical healing process after the punch excision method is as follows: bleeding or oozing from the wound usually subsides within 3 to 5 days. The wound gradually closes over approximately 2 weeks after the procedure, and then continues to settle over the course of several months. As noted, individual results may vary, so please consult with your physician at the time of your appointment for more details.
About Lipoma
As a general rule, we schedule the surgery date after completing the necessary examinations. For lipomas, an MRI scan is typically required as an initial step. At IC Clinic, we ask that you first come in for an initial consultation with our physician, after which we will arrange an MRI scan at a partner medical facility equipped for imaging. If the physician determines that the examination results present no concerns, we will schedule a follow-up appointment at IC Clinic on a separate date, with the procedure planned as a same-day outpatient surgery.
The estimated cost for lipoma surgery is approximately ¥10,000–¥20,000 under public health insurance coverage (30% patient co-payment). (Costs may vary depending on the location and size of the lipoma. Initial consultation fees, follow-up consultation fees, prescription fees, and other charges are billed separately.)
Earlobe Cleft (Split Earlobe)
The estimated cost for earlobe repair surgery is ¥31,010 per site with insurance coverage (30% patient co-payment). (Initial consultation fee and prescription fee are included. Costs may vary depending on any additional treatments or types of prescribed medications.) Without insurance coverage, earlobe repair is ¥55,000, and piercing hole correction ranges from ¥33,000 to ¥88,000 depending on the size.
While individual results may vary depending on the condition of the affected area, we aim to complete the procedure in approximately 30 minutes.
At our clinic, a board-certified plastic surgeon (certified by the Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) selects the most suitable approach from a range of surgical methods, and we take great care to minimize scarring throughout the procedure.

1. Exposure of Buried Absorbable Sutures: Suture removal will be performed.
2. Infection: Although very rare, please seek medical attention promptly if you experience signs of infection such as persistent wound pain, fever, prolonged swelling, continued warmth around the wound, or discharge from the wound. Treatment may include antibiotics, and if an abscess has formed, a small incision for drainage and removal of the infection source may be required.
3. Keloid: Depending on individual predisposition, keloid formation may occur. In such cases, treatment options including oral medication, injection therapy, or local therapy for keloids will be provided. A referral to a specialist medical institution will be arranged as needed.
4. Hypertrophic Scarring: The wound site may become raised and red. If necessary, treatment with topical creams, injections, or oral medication will be provided. In the unlikely event that further intervention is required, excision and re-suturing may be considered to improve the appearance. A referral to a specialist medical institution will be arranged as needed.
5. Hematoma: If a hematoma develops, removal may be necessary.
※ The above complications are extremely rare occurrences.
In the unlikely event that any of these symptoms arise, our clinic will respond promptly.

Results are not typically noticeable immediately after treatment — this applies to HARG+ therapy as well as other treatments. In many cases, improvements may begin to be felt around 4 months after treatment at the earliest.
Compared to oral and topical medications, HARG+ Therapy has been shown to promote hair growth more quickly. However, as each AGA treatment approach has its own advantages and limitations, it is important to select the most appropriate treatment based on each patient's individual condition.
Unfortunately, a single session is unlikely to produce noticeable results. At our clinic, one course consists of 6 to 9 sessions. After completing one course, most patients experience some degree of hair regrowth, at which point you may choose to maintain your results with prescribed medications, or proceed with another course of HARG+ therapy if you wish to achieve further improvement.
While vellus hair remains, HARG+ Therapy is generally considered a preferable option. HARG+ Therapy works by regenerating your own hair, which typically makes it more affordable with minimal downtime.

Yes, both options are available. A medical loan allows you to pay in installments at a lower interest rate than a credit card, and is a financing option available exclusively through medical institutions. You can also choose the number of installment payments to suit your budget. Please note that an application screening is required, and eligibility is limited to adults with a steady income.
If you have been sunburned on the treatment area within the past two weeks, the risk of burns may be significantly elevated depending on the degree of sun exposure, and we may be unable to perform the treatment.

Yes, male patients are welcome. As a clinic rooted in insurance-based medical practice, IC Clinic is committed to creating an environment where patients of all ages and genders feel comfortable walking in and discussing their concerns.
Sagging Skin
Mild redness may occasionally occur, but typically subsides within 30 minutes.
Downtime is minimal; however, in rare cases, swelling or a dull ache may persist for some time.

Mild discomfort may be felt, but most people find it tolerable without anesthesia.
Results may vary depending on the individual, but visiting us at intervals of 1 to 3 months for ongoing treatment tends to be more effective.
Please avoid hot springs, saunas, and strenuous exercise that causes sweating for approximately 3 days after treatment.
Underarm Odor & Hyperhidrosis
During the procedure, local anesthesia is administered, so most patients experience little to no discomfort. For patients who are particularly sensitive to pain, we also use a vibration device during the anesthesia process to help minimize discomfort. Please note that some mild discomfort may persist for a few days following the procedure.
Showering is available from the day of treatment. Bathing (soaking in a tub) is permitted from the following day onward.
Temporary symptoms such as swelling may occur immediately after treatment, but in most cases these symptoms subside within a few weeks to a few months.
Treatment is completed in a single visit, so follow-up appointments are generally not required. Should you have any concerns or questions afterward, we are always available to assist you. IC Clinic specializes in same-day, insurance-covered surgical procedures, with a team of multiple board-certified plastic surgeons accredited by the Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, ensuring a thorough and reliable care environment.
At IC Clinic, we welcome patients from across Japan and some from overseas. After scheduling is confirmed during your consultation, your miraDry treatment can be completed in a single visit, allowing you to return home the same day.
