FAQ
Is the treatment painful?
You may feel a brief sting when the anesthetic needle is inserted, but the procedure itself is performed under anesthesia, so discomfort during surgery is minimized.
Can darkening of the skin be addressed?
Darkening often occurs in enlarged areas of the labia minora or accessory labial folds. Removing the excess tissue during the reduction procedure can help improve the appearance of darkened skin.
I am worried about scarring after the procedure.
The labia minora has a good blood supply and is composed largely of mucosal tissue, which generally supports faster healing compared to other areas.

How long does the surgery take?
This varies depending on the procedure, but including preparation and post-operative care, please allow approximately 1–2 hours in total.
Will the procedure affect my daily life?
You may shower from the day after surgery. Please avoid bathing (soaking) for one week. Normal daily activities such as commuting to work or school are generally unaffected; however, please avoid activities that place direct stress on the treated area, such as strenuous exercise, cycling, or riding a motorcycle.
Is this procedure covered by health insurance?
This procedure is not covered by health insurance (self-pay only).
Is there a risk of reduced sensitivity after labia minora reduction?
